Failings
I have many failings of which I am aware
And as they’re not improving you may not think I care!
Some are self indulgent, some are lack of thought
But all of them, I am aware, are not doing what I ought!
My conscience often pricks me and I try to stop
But my deep seated failings catch me on the hop.
Of course I then regret the things that I have done wrong
And show remorse and penitence and sing a sorry song.
Thank God that in His pity He sent His son to die
For all our sins committed thus saving you and I
