Encouragement
How can I encourage when I don't like what I see?
Does anyone take notice of what appeals to me?
No one wants opinions from someone of my age
Even though experience might have made a sage.
If asked for my advice I can be constructive
If only they would listen I could be instructive.
I have been quite helpful to others in the past
When advice is taken improvements come and last!
Sometimes what I notice fills me with despair
And if I am moaning it's just because I care.
I can be an encourager. Lord you know I can.
But I have my failings like any other man.
I can see good in others even when I disagree
And I pray they also see some good in me!
