Deadwood Stage
Something about a film called Calamity Jane
Makes me want to watch it now and then again!
The music is so catchy but really rather twee
And some of the scenery you really have to see.
The plot is pretty simple and Doris Day is fine
But Howard Keel’s singing is really quite divine!
The tale of love is tangled like a good romance
And with ol’ Calamity you’d want to take the chance.
Wholesome entertainment from a time gone by
And for our lost innocence you have to give a sigh.
The Deadwood stage is comin’ on over the hill
And while it does I for one will be watching still.
