Troubles
When some petty little trouble irritates me
And all that I endeavour comes to naught;
When I am not as happy as I might be
Or in some minor misdeed I am caught;
When all my fortunes take a sudden nosedive
And to take another step takes all my will;
If my spirit leaves me floundering with no drive
And my enemies are all around me still;
Then I look at what my Saviour went through
And how He always knew what He should do.
He never got Himself into a lather,
But sent a prayer up to His heavenly Father.
He followed the advice when e’er it came.
I know that I should always do the same!
