The Drinks Men
Dream Factory is important in many, many ways
Tim and I are drinks men there on most Saturdays
We
offer tea or coffee to anyone who comes
To
drop their little children off, be they dads or mums.
We
talk to anybody who has the time to spare
Even
if they wonder what we’re doing there!
It
may seem pretty stupid to sit around and chat!
Would
the people miss us if we weren’t doing that?
We’ve
been there in rain and shine, and even in the snow
And
whether we do any good we’ll never ever know.
Of course,
when we first started, there were kids galore
In
those days we were serving fifty drinks or more
Now
we would be lucky if we give a dozen out
But
we think it’s still worth it and haven’t any doubt.
To
show a friendly countenance and a welcome smile
And
a bit of banter must always be worthwhile!
We
try to share God’s love around in a friendly way
Does anybody notice? We’re not the ones to say!
