Victim
You are not a victim of a cruel Chinese plot
All corona viruses do mutate a lot.
It is just a nasty version of the common cold
Which also has no mercy on the vulnerable or old.
It can lead to pneumonia, known as the old man’s friend
And this has been known to hasten on life’s end.
Of course the herd immunity to common viruses
Means we do not always have to live in stress.
No immunity exists to this ruddy mutant freak
Though most of us can fight it with defences at their peak.
The old and weak and vulnerable have to be protected
So the population should do what is expected!
If we have to isolate to protect our brother
All right thinking people cannot then do other.
Yes, there are some victims to their brother’s pride.
Those who think they have right to put the rules aside!
