Old Rugby Lads Together
When
old lads get together they talk of days of yore
Of
the games they used to play and tries they used to score.
As
they watch the young ones play the game they knew
In
their imagination they remember playing too!
Their
skills have got much better since they have retired!
In
their fading memories their play was all inspired!
We
talk of those we played with, some no longer here.
Of
those with lots of talent and those who just swigged beer!
We
share a common love of sport, in a thrall to skill
And
all wish that we could play our favourite rugby still!
